SYNOPSES

ALL FOR THE BEST ...?

Originally written at the request of an American student group who specified the disastrous climactic incident but required some “feel-good” conclusion.

A bright but erratic adolescent is introduced to the family of a school-mate’s girl friend, becoming attached to her sister who has inherited the deceased mother’s fragile constitution. His foolishness causes her death, but the father’s wisdom helps both come to terms with it.

GREEN EYES

An environmental activist causes tragedy through personal jealousy, is overcome by remorse but is helped to find a way through it.

EXIT, PURSUED BY A BEAR

An unworldly academic mistaken for a courier is dragged into international scheming.

Adapted in response to a trawl for scripts.

GERM OF AN IDEA

An unscrupulous “investigative” journalist causes immense harm for the sake of a sensationalised story.

The original version for television, later adapted for the stage as “Whitefly” (see Synopses)
